Each time I pick up a camera, whether it’s for work or my own personal project, I still get a buzz from the challenge of creating original and powerful images that exceed expectations, and stand the test of time.
At this point, you may be thinking: “That’s all well and good – he’s obviously passionate about photography, and I like the pictures on the website, but how do I know if we will get on ok?” Well, here are a few snippets about me which might help you decide…
I was drawn to visual arts and photography at an early age, and have been a professional photographer longer than I care to remember. Being a bit of a perfectionist, I have worked my way up to a level that only a handful of UK photographers have reached, by having been accepted to the International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers (ISPWP)
My work has been recognised by industry awards, published in magazines and shown in exhibitions. But there are other influences in my life that I like to draw on for inspiration. I am an avid collector of 1950s Americana, and I love the strong, timeless look of that era. I also really love the flowing curves of Art Deco styles and have a little bit of an obsession with beautiful old classic cars.
I guess you could say that the things I am passionate about are all to do with visual beauty, and that is an important element in my work. From intimate portraits to elegant, timeless wedding and engagement photography, I apply the same demanding standards to all my photography. My experience and passion is passed on to the many professional photographers who come to my regular workshops to improve their skills.
I try to adopt the value of quality in my business – from the pictures I take to the products I supply and am always searching for the best available for my clients as I think each and every one of them deserves it. My view is that customer service is one of the most important building blocks for any successful business and is an area sadly overlooked by many in this day and age.
